This is BlackBerry Theme Studio 5.0, an environment that was presented during the last edition of the BlackBerry Developer Conference. Contrary to what one would expect, though at first glance may seem to be simply a utility to change the ringtones and wallpapers, the fact is that we have discovered a complete environment that allows us to make profound changes in the system, both aesthetic and functional, even the interface can greatly enhance the system.

BlackBerry Theme Studio consists basically of two applications: Theme Composer and Bouldering. First, Composer is a tool that allows us to design, create and modify animations. In this way we can create custom videos for later included as part of a fund. An interesting fact is that, in order to facilitate the work we already have to import animations created as GIF graphics to accept documents from SFW (Flash).

Moreover, Theme Builder allows us to make a deep customization of BlackBerry devices, from basic to deep (for example, changing the desktop background or ring tone, to even move or change the menu icons) .

It is always advisable to build our theme for the device with which we go to work because, depending on the type of device we will find screens of different sizes or resolutions, for example.

In fact, to facilitate this task we can download different simulators of various existing BlackBerry models (Storm, Bold …) in order to see in advance the aspect of our subject before their deployment on the device.

After developing our subject can be taken in the World App for anyone to download and apply it in your terminal, or even can put on our web server so that our clients can access it.

The most interesting part of the solution is that the BlackBerry platform Theme Studio (both Theme Builder and Performer) is free, as well as simulators, and can access files through the official product site.
